I want to thank you for taking the time to look over our HHBC web page. It is a blessing to share with you a little about HHBC and what God is doing in our midst. It is my prayer that the message that comes across is a simple message that tells you that we are committed to “making disciples”.
Last year we embarked on a mission to rethink who we are and what we’re about. We made an amazing discovery when we asked our family on a Sunday morning to write down what our mission, vision and philosophy is. The results told us that while we were New Testament our people were confused and could not succinctly state those three things. I challenged our Pastoral Staff to pray and work through this challenge of getting our church focused and centered on making disciples.
As you can see on this web page we decided on a simple mission/vision statement, Connect Grow Impact. Our mission/vision is to Connect people to God and to one another, Grow people individually and to grow our church corporately and to Impact our Body and the world through the gifts God has given us.
We’ve seen an amazing difference in our church since we introduced Connect Grow Impact. Three simple words and letters, CGI, have given our folks the freedom to focus their energy and gifts into the journey of seeing people Connect, Grow and Impact. Our attendance has moved upward, our folks are more involved in ministry activities as opposed to activities and our actual closeness as the family of God has skyrocketed.
Obviously a web page cannot express the dynamics of this great body of believers. God is at work in our midst and we are seeing Him do great things in and through His people. I pray that His Spirit speaks to you as you read about HHBC and that if you don’t know Him you will realize it’s as simple as ABC. Admit that you need Him, Believe that He died and rose again for you, Commit your life to His Lordship as you turn from your sin and ask for His forgiveness.
