My Dear Family,

As we begin "Becoming the Church of Tomorrow", our stewardship campaign, I am reminded of how great a people we have here at Hyland Heights. I want you to know that I feel privileged to be your Pastor in this day of opportunity. When I think about God's goodness to us in the past, I am amazed at His grace and filled with gratitude for each of you. When I think about what God wants to do in and through us in the future I am filled with anticipation and excitement.

I am grateful that we are entering a campaign that will open new doors of opportunity for our church. With the success of this campaign, our church can take the next step on our journey by providing a new Worship Center along with children's facilities and parking.

This campaign has a great theme, "Not Equal Gifts But Equal Sacrifice." This theme challenges each of us to do the extraordinary, to give sacrificially "over and above" our regular giving for the next 156 weeks. Because sacrifice is significant in God's eyes, it reminds us that each of us can have a significant part in building the Kingdom of God.

This campaign provides all of us the wonderful opportunity of knowing in a fresh way the blessings which come through giving. Jesus said, "Give, and it shall be given to you, a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over…" (Luke 6:38)

I truly believe that we, the people of Hyland Heights, are ready for the challenge which this campaign offers. Let us each enter into this great effort prayerfully and enthusiastically.
