At Hyland Heights Baptist Church, we strive to provide ministries for every age group, opportunities for the believer to deepen their walk with our Lord. It is our goal as a Christ-centered church that every person will be challenged to share the saving message and love of Jesus Christ through these ministries.
Our weekly worship includes prayer, Biblical teaching, inspiring music, fellowship and opportunities to celebrate God's grace. Our Worship Services are Sunday morning at 9:30 and 10:55, Sunday evening at 6:00 and Wednesday at 6:30.
Leading 140 members in this ministry is David Dalton, Minister of Music. The adult choir joins worship during Sunday morning services and special events.
The Living Cross is an annual highlight, celebrating the life of Christ through music and drama. This year will mark the 20th anniversary of this production.
Our senior adults, men and women age 55 and older, are very active. Leading these Young at Hearts is Senior Adult Pastor, Marvin Hiner. They host monthly gatherings and take special trips to plays, musicals, day trips to area sites, picnics and more.
Authentic Faith Ministries focuses on shaping tomorrow's leaders for Christ. Young adults and college students help prepare food on Wednesday nights and assist with mission projects including Parent's Night Out.
This active ministry is led by Senior High Pastor, Shawn Ames and Junior High Pastor, Bryan Hagley. More than 140 middle and high school students participate in many activities, such as Disciple Now, Scavenger Hunt, worship and praise teams. Our youth also take trips to Youth Summer Camp, Student Leadership University and Spring Break Missions.
These young hearts are eager to be molded into the image of Jesus. The childrens ministry is led by Pastor Mike Summy. Starting at an early age, these precious children begin their walk with Christ through programs like Awana, Vacation Bible School and Children's camp.
Hyland Heights Baptist Church offers a variety of educational opportunities. Bible study classes are held during both morning worship hours and additional courses are frequently offered for more in-depth study. Small groups meet in homes on Sunday nights, furthering the goal of growing our members together through fellowship and discipleship. We continue to
expand our reach into our community through the efforts of the clothing and food banks and the ‘Helping Hands’ ministry. We have reached out to our nation and world by sending mission teams to Mexico, Brazil and Thailand. The Lord has now laid on our hearts to send a team to Africa.
As new opportunities challenge our church, we will "Go... and preach the good news to all creation. (Mark 16:15) |
