God's call is OUR Mission of Faith... individually and as a congregation. Jesus issued this call to the early believers thousands of years ago, as recorded in Matthew 28:19-20. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
Hyland Heights Baptist Church is committed to the task of making disciples for Jesus Christ. Our past is full of dedicated people and faithful decisions that have provided for a congregation that today averages 1350 in attendance. We are a church that ministers to our community and our world through the study and understanding of God's word, divine worship, and compassionate service to friends and neighbors in Jesus' name.
In order to continue our history of ministry we are is beginning a path to expand further the Word and Work of Jesus Christ. With the building of the new worship and educational facilities, a more effective and innovative Christian ministry can be offered to Lynchburg and our community for generations to come.
The Lord has continued to bless Hyland Heights Baptist Church over the years. Since 1993, our attendance has risen 237%. Because of this tremendous growth, many of our ministries have outgrown our current facilities.
Our vision for the new facilities is not just to solve space probelms, but to expand and create new opportunities to transform our society. We want to be faithful to the vision God has given us to impact our community for Christ.
- A new worship center, increasing the space to 37,500 square feet
- New classrooms and children's worship area, resulting from renovating the current sanctuary; children's worship area will be expanded to 10,000 square feet - Increased nursery space to 2,500 square feet

Please pray, read God's Word, and ask God what He would have you do to assist in the needs of our growing church. We are designed by God to be givers. Giving to the Lord's work gives us a purpose, and allows us to be part of a plan bigger than ourselves. At Hyland Heights Baptist Church, God is at work in a big way.
