First, let me share with you about Pauline Glass, a longtime member who is now at home in Heaven. Pauline loved her church and the ladies in her Sunday school class. She was faithful in being a part of every ministry she could. She worked sewing costumes for the Living Cross, she worked in the Food Pantry, Clothes Closet, sewing the banners we enjoy and more. Even in her last years you may have seen this little lady walking humped over with a back brace, but still coming to church. Today, at her request to bless her church one final time, her four children gave us a tithe of her final estate.

What an amazing lady Pauline Glass was! Not because of this gift but because she loved the Lord and she loved her church and expressed that love in sacrificial service.

I can guarantee you when she stood before the Lord He said, “Well done good and faithful servant”. Thanks go to Pauline and her children for blessing Hyland Heights across the years and now.

How many times have you said or thought, “Look at me when I’m talking to you!” It’s unnerving to be talking to someone and they are looking everywhere but at you. As parents we want our children’s full attention when we’re talking to them. I know I’ve said it to my children many times. I also know that on a Sunday morning I talk to so many people and while I’m talking to one person, I have someone else standing there ready to talk to me. I know that I need to concentrate so that you have my full attention, and I do apologize if I’ve failed to do that.

That brings me to what I believe is a miracle.

Did you know that God is looking at you every second of every day and that you have His full attention?

Don’t ask me how, as all I can say is He is God. In 1 Peter 3:12 Peter tells us “The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and His ears attend to their prayer”. It’s amazing to think that God is watching me and at the same time He’s watching you. While He is listening to you He is also listening to me.

My friend never feel alone, never feel abandoned as you have his undivided attention every moment of every day. We should walk in gratitude knowing we are loved so miraculously.

I hope you were in church yesterday as one person said “We had church”. I appreciate our musicians and their hard work with Pastor Tim to make our worship service honoring to the Lord. By the way, if you have a word of feedback about Tim I’d be glad to hear it.

Remember God is calling us to Impact Tomorrow Today,

Pastor Carl
