Hyland Heights
A New Song - Weekly Celebration (April 10)
"1 Hallelujah! Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of the faithful. 2 Let Israel celebrate its Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King. 3 Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and lyre. 4 For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation. 5 Let the faithful celebrate in triumphal glory." (Psalm 149:1-5)
God has been moving at Hyland Heights and we want to take a few minutes to celebrate. Below are several celebration highlights, ways you can be a part, as well as our weekly financials.
Easter Celebrations: The Lord moved in awesome ways last Sunday! We saw over 1300 join us in person and another 250 online! That’s as high of attendance on an Easter Sunday going back several years before Covid. In addition, 5 more people celebrated Christ’s work in their life through baptism and another came to trust Jesus as Savior. We are so grateful to be a church that God is blessing in incredible ways!
Two Easter Takeaways:
1) God is moving at Hyland Heights, keep praying.
2) People are willing to come to/come back to church, so keep inviting.
A Place to Serve: We have several great ways you can be a part of helping others connect here at Hyland Heights. Join our 1st Impressions team as a host to welcome our church family and first time guests to worship on Sunday mornings, or sign up to serve in our connection café. To sign up or learn more, email Pastor Tim Fus at tfus@hhbc.net.
Summer Host Homes: This coming summer, Hyland Heights will have ministry interns serving in a variety of ways. These internships help our ministries in so many valuable ways, but the real blessing is that we get to help future pastors and church leaders grow in the calling that God has placed on their life. This year, we are looking for several families to consider hosting an intern for the summer. If you have an extra bedroom you wouldn’t mind lending a college student for the summer, connect with Sean Best at sbest@hhbc.net to find out more about serving this way.
A New Sermon Series: Let’s face it, we live in a world where we often feel we’re constantly in a rush. We run from place to place and thing to thing so quickly that it is often hard to catch our breath. Then we go to sleep and wake up to do it all over again. Through this next sermon series, we will see God’s desire to give us rest for our lives and our souls. Join us this week as we learn to “Just Breathe,” a sermon series on Sabbath rest.
Matching Gift Opportunity: We’re almost there! We have been given a $10,000.00 matching gift to purchase 2 new side projectors for our worship center, as 1 is out completely and the other is starting to go out. This means that your gift is doubled when you give to this need. To date, $8,805 has been committed to this designated line item. If you would like to help us reach this goal, you can give at hhbc.net/give and select “projector matching gift” in the drop down menu.
HHBC Weekly Financials:
April 4 Offering: $ 37,743.48
Weekly Budget: $33,228.00
Thank you for your continued generosity! God is moving in incredible ways at Hyland Heights and each gift continues to help us live out the vision of Jesus as we connect, grow, and impact our world for the gospel.
Celebrating his faithfulness,
Dr. Josh Carter Senior Pastor
