Living Water - Weekly Celebration (Mar. 26)

“On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and cried out, ‘If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. The one who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him.’” (John 7:37-38)

Our God is the One who refreshes the soul. As we look forward to Easter, the celebration that Jesus has conquered sin and the grave, we have many reasons to give God praise for the great things that he has done in our lives and in the life of our church family. Below are a number of ways that God has been working at Hyland Heights as well as our most recent week of giving.

Children’s Ministry Growth: Last Sunday was one of our largest groups of children to join us for worship since 2019 with 220 children and volunteers. We also had 189 join us for AWANA on Wednesday night. Praise God for what He is doing in our children’s ministry and thank you to all who serve so faithfully!

Student Ministry Growth: This past Wednesday, our students saw 9 first time visitors! It’s wonderful to see our students continue to engage in reaching out and inviting their friends and classmates to come with them each week to hear the gospel.

Welcome to the Family: Last week, 9 people finished the Connect Class to join us as members of Hyland Heights. We look forward to sharing their pictures and celebrating them joining the family in a coming worship service. We love how God is continuing to add to our church family each month! If you want to learn more about joining HHBC, go to hhbc.net/nextsteps and sign up for our Connect Class.

Making a Connection: If you’ve watched our worship service online recently, you might see some new faces before, after, or even during worship. Make sure to say hello to our online hosts each week and let them know how God is using the songs or message in your life as you watch and worship.

A Place to Serve: We have several great ways you can be a part of helping others connect here at Hyland Heights. Join our 1st Impressions team as a host to welcome our church family and first time guests to worship on Sunday mornings, or sign up to serve in our connection café. To sign up or learn more, email Pastor Tim Fus at tfus@hhbc.net.

Summer Host Homes: This coming summer, Hyland Heights will have ministry interns serving in a variety of ways. These internships help our ministries in so many valuable ways, but the real blessing is that we get to help future pastors and church leaders grow in the calling that God has placed on their life. This year, we are looking for several families to consider hosting an intern for the summer. If you have an extra bedroom you wouldn’t mind lending a college student for the summer, connect with Sean Best at sbest@hhbc.net to find out more about serving this way.

Matching Gift Opportunity: As you might know, we have been given a $10,000.00 matching gift to purchase 2 new side projectors for our worship center as 1 is out completely and the other is showing signs of failure as others have in the past. This means that your gift is doubled when you give to this need. To date, $2,935.00 has been committed to this designated line item. If you would like to help us reach this goal, you can give at hhbc.net/give and select “projector matching gift” in the drop down menu.

Communion: On Palm Sunday, March 28th, many of our Life Groups will be celebrating the ordinance of communion during the Life Group hour. We hope you will take this special opportunity to worship together with your Life Group.

Easter Sunday’s Coming: As Easter quickly approaches on April 4th, we hope that you take this opportunity to invite your friends and family to join us for one of our 3 worship services; 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00. We look forward to seeing God move in great ways this Easter Sunday!

HHBC Weekly Financials:

March 14 Offering: $ 31,439.03

Weekly Budget: $33,228.00

Thank you for your continued generosity! God is moving in incredible ways at Hyland Heights and each gift continues to help us live out the vision of Jesus as we connect, grow, and impact our world for the gospel.

Celebrating in the victory,

Dr. Josh Carter Senior Pastor
