Thankful - Weekly Celebration (April 23, 2021)

"Blessed be the Lord! For he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
The Lord is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed. Oh, save your people and bless your heritage! Be their shepherd and carry them forever." (Psalm 28:6-9)

God has been moving at Hyland Heights, and we want to take a few minutes to celebrate. Below are several celebration highlights, ways you can be a part, as well as our weekly financials.

Continued Growth: In addition to celebrating several new families who have made Hyland Heights their home, last week was one of our highest worship attendances since Covid began and highest attended Life Group Sundays since before Covid. Praise God for the continued growth of His church!

In the Word: For the past 2 weeks, our women’s ministry has seen well over 60 ladies plug into Bible Study together. To find a day and time that works best for you, go to:

Women's Ministry Events | HHBC or contact women@hhbc.net for more information.

Matching Gift Met: We want to say thank you to all who gave to help us reach our goal of $20,000 to put up new projectors in the worship center. We met and exceeded our goal because of the faithful and incredible generosity of our church family. The projectors have been ordered and we can’t wait to get them up as soon as they arrive!

Business Meeting Notes: Last Sunday evening our church had our first quarterly business meeting of 2021. Two motions made by our finance team passed unanimously. The first to fix several roofing issues above our children’s area and gym. The second was to pursue the purchase of a new lift for maintenance and other needs, as our old lift is no longer an optimal option for use in our facilities. Again, we are grateful for the incredible generosity of our church family which has enabled us to take care of these needs within our facility. For more information on the business meeting, you can contact the church office.

Summer Host Homes: This coming summer, Hyland Heights will have ministry interns serving in a variety of ways. These internships help our ministries in so many valuable ways, but the real blessing is that we get to help future pastors and church leaders grow in the calling that God has placed on their life. This year, we are looking for several families to consider hosting an intern for the summer. If you have an extra bedroom you wouldn’t mind lending a college student for the summer, connect with Sean Best at sbest@hhbc.net to find out more about serving this way.

HHBC Weekly Financials:

April 18 Offering: $ 42,711.24

Weekly Budget: $33,228.00

Percentage of YTD Budget Received: 98.7%

Thank you for your continued generosity! God is moving in incredible ways at Hyland Heights, and each gift continues to help us live out the vision of Jesus as we connect, grow, and impact our world for the gospel.

Thankful,

Dr. Josh Carter Senior Pastor
