It’s not that each week during this crazy pandemic is easy, but when we see some of the great things our God is doing in and through Hyland Heights we can’t help but stop and celebrate His goodness! Below are some celebrations, ways to plug in and serve during this time, and our financials through Sunday, April 19th.
First, Mandy and I want to thank you for the amazing welcome we have received from everyone at Hyland. We are already loving settling into our home here in Rustburg and I am personally loving getting to know and work with our amazing Hyland staff. Thank you for all the prayers and encouragements and we look forward to getting to know each of you more soon!
In the sermon Sunday, I mentioned the importance of Life Groups to grow Spiritually as a follower of Jesus. Many of our Life Groups are meeting through the Zoom app during this time and you can join in! We had several already ask to join a group on Sunday and you can do so too by emailing Pastor Brian at bfreerksen@hhbc.net
It may be a weird time to become a member of Hyland Heights, and it’s a weird time to start as a new pastor too! But I believe God calls each of us into faithful membership in a local church. If you have been thinking about joining Hyland as a member, I hope you will join Mandy and I in our New Member class on May 4th and 11th through Zoom. Sign-up today by going to hhbc.net/nextsteps
One way you can serve HHBC during this time is to sign-up to paint an area of the church beginning Monday, April 27th. If you would like to paint a Life Group room or Children’s room please call the office at 434.821.6906 to sign-up and let them know what time you would like to be in the building. The office will also provide you with what color paint your selected space needs, so that you can purchase the paint and supplies ahead of time. If you cannot paint but would like to purchase paint for someone to use, you may also contact the office to do so. Finally, we will need a small team to work with Jerry on Monday and Tuesday of next week to prep rooms to be ready to paint and you can contact our office to be a part of this as well.
